A new post! And not just a new post…. I’m here to announce my biggest project ever!
Are you ready for the INOCHI Project?
Want to be a model for a day? Want some personal and unique art in your house? Want to be pampered and get a make-over? Want to live out a fantasy and become a character of your imagination? Or do you just want to support your favorite photographers?
It’s so easy – book a photoshoot as a client! In this post I discuss how that works, what it means for you, what the requirements are, and I have talked to some of my previous clients to give you a first hand testimony of what it’s really like behind the scenes!
It has been a while, but here it is: a brand new edition of #artistinthespotlight! Today, it’s the incredible photographer Rebecca Millen, from Freiburg, Germany. I have been a fan of her for quite some time, and when we got to work together, it was a dream come true. I love her very artistic yet dark style, and her way of editing is very typical for her work.
She is young and is just starting out, but her talent is unmistakable, and I’m sure we will see a lot of her in the future!

I was looking around for some inspiration, and my eye caught this amazing hairstyling on Junya Watanabe’s Spring-Summer womenswear collection. The techniques used here are to make hair into an afro, but the hair wasn’t released – they kept the hair in the wire and made it into a fashion statement, using the wire to make a very punk-looking style. I am completely in love with all of this, and would love to experiment with this technique, as well!
The hairstylist responsible for this amazing work is Katsuya Kamo, who was interviewed by Infringe in this video. Check him out!

Hello everyone! I have been rather busy lately, but here is a brand new blog post: What’s in my hairstyling suitcase?
Feel free to use this list to add to your suitcase, or use this as a handy checklist before a shoot.
After all these educational posts, here’s a more personal post about what being a hairstylist means to me, and how I came up with the idea to do it.
Here’s an overview of what the year was like for Julia Lion Hair!
I’m very curious to see similar posts from other artists… It’s always interesting to look back on a year to see how much you’ve progressed.
Another #hairinspiration for you!
On instagram, I came across @braidart.hidenorinishimura and was absolutely stunned by his work. It inspires me a lot as far as thinking out of the box comes, especially with braiding techniques. What he does with braids in wigs and fashion absolutely baffles me. Here are some of my favorites in his hairstyles, make sure to follow him on Instagram and check out his website.
Here’s a handy checklist every (pro) model needs to have by their side before every shoot!
